As a graduate in computer science, Matt spent his first 10 years in Information Technology (IT) management working for a computer service bureau, and held the Director of IT position at a Toronto-based hospital. The next 25 years were spent in the restoration industry where he was the president and CEO of a DKI, a restoration contractor network, for 20 years. After selling his shares in DKI, Matt provided contract work for FirstOnSite Restoration, one of the largest restoration company in Canada. In 2015 Matt realized there was a need for a national solution for emergency building recovery services that specialized in commercial buildings and as such founded Commercial Loss Experts (CLE), which is a network of commercial-grade contractors with knowledge and expertise in providing recovery and restoration services for commercial and residential buildings under a structured service delivery model and software system. Matt then partnered with CLE’s software developer to market their workflow and KPI software to insurers and contractors.
